Why a good character is important.

Character defines our personality, it is the sum total of an individual qualities. It is very important because it’s part of our lives  The character of a person can either contribute to one’s success or failure in life. It is important to exhibit a good character. I have come across different people with different characters. Some are honest, rude, untrustworthy, proud and so on. Having a good character is important.

However, there is a room for change. An individual can experience change if he/she is willing do better. In life we meet with different people from different races in our place of work, a chosen career, at home, when traveling or in any place. So it is the character that advertise the personality of a stranger.

REASONS WHY A GOOD CHARACTER IS IMPORTANT

∆ IT GIVES YOU A GOOD REPUTATION/IMAGE

One of the reasons is it gives one a good reputation. To be candid no one want to be associated with an individual that has a bad image. Even in business or work place. The behaviour of a man can either give him a good or bad image. That is why it is important to have a good character . If one’s image is tarnished because of the character, this might make life miserable for such person.

∆ IT ATTRACTS PEOPLE TO HELP YOU DURING TOUGH SITUATIONS

A person’s character can either attract helpers or send them away. In terms of assistance in a difficult situation, some individuals may be willing to help based on the fact that u had exhibited a good behaviour towards them. A good turn they say deserves another. If people around know you for a good behaviour. Then they can assist u during tough times.

∆ IT MAKES OTHERS TO RESPECT YOU

Respect is reciprocal, with a good character, people with respect you. Because u deserve it. So a good behaviour brings respects from others around you which can be in your place of work or anywhere u are.

∆ GOOD CHARACTER WITH HARD WORK PAVES WAY FOR A SUCCESSFUL CAREER

When you have a good character coupled with hard work, the sky is your starting point not your limit. This paves way for you in achieving success in your career or work place. Bad character with hard work may not likely make this happen.

∆ IT MAKES PEOPLE WANT TO EMULATE YOU

Yea, we like to emulate a person with good attributes such as a caring, hardworking and responsible person with good character and so on. Everyone like good things, we appreciate and wish we had some of these good attributes. It is normal, no one wants to emulate a person with bad attributes such as irresponsible, rude, lying person with bad character So it is important we change our character for the better.

∆ IT CONNECTS YOU TO SEVERAL OPPORTUNITIES THAT COMES YOUR WAY

This is so true, with a good behaviour you will be able to have access to several opportunities that comes your way. How is this possible? It is possible because people who know u as a person with good character will refer u to others who can assist u in your career, work place or with opportunity that will take u to a higher level.

∆ IT ENABLES ONE TO GAIN TRUST FROM OTHERS

Lastly it enables you to gain trust from others, when u posses good qualities one of which is honesty. Then u will be able to gain trust from others. A person who lies always can’t be trusted by people. So a good character will make others trust u with any vital info pertaining to their lives.
